PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated steel material having an excellent corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: The invention features the surface treated steel material including a base steel and an anticorrosion resin coating film formed on an outermost surface, further including an intermediate layer containing aluminate and sulfate between the base steel and the anticorrosion resin coating film. The base steel preferably contains C: 0.01-0.30 mass%, Si: 0.05-1.0 mass%, Mn: 0.1-2.0 mass%, P: 0.05 mass% or less, S: 0.02 mass% or less, N: 0.008 mass% or less, Al: 0.005-0.10 mass%, Cu: 0.1-3.0 mass%, Ni: 0.1-5.0 mass%, and Ti: 0.005-0.1 mass%, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities. |
