The present invention relates to recognizing a pedestrian. Disclosed are a method and a device for processing recognition of a pedestrian and a configuration of a vehicle supporting the same, wherein the method has a characteristic of comprising: a step of collecting a far infrared ray video; a detection step of detecting a group of pedestrian candidates from the far infrared ray video; a characteristic extraction step of extracting pedestrian characteristics based on previously normalized pedestrian database learning; a comparison step of comparing a similarity between the extracted pedestrian characteristics and the pedestrian database learning result; and a step of performing pedestrian recognition according to the comparison result.
