<p>A cable trunking device comprises first and second trunking sections 2, each having an end portion that is received by, or inserted into, respective end portions of a coupling component 4 that interconnects the trunking sections 2. The walls of the end portions of the trunking sections 2 define guide channels or slots 20 that receive and guide respective fastening components 10 (e.g. screws, bolts) supported on a wall of the coupling component 4 to respective fastening positions. The fastening components 10 increase the contact force between the trunking sections 2 and the coupling component 4. An internal or external bridge 14 acts as a clamping plate and interconnects the fastening components 10 at each end portion of the coupling component 4. The bridge 14 or the coupling component 4 may have one or more pointed projections directed towards the other of the coupling component 4 and the bridge 14. The end portion of each trunking section 2 may extend in a first direction to a first end with the guide channels 20 defined in the end portion extending from the first end whereby, at the fastening position, relative movement of the respective trunking section 2 and the coupling component 4 in the first direction is blocked.</p> |
