<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt position detecting device that improves the tilt position detecting device reliability and is easily mounted on a ship in a mount-it-later manner. <P>SOLUTION: The tilt position detecting device is configured to stop the driving by a drive source after detecting that an outboard motor reaches the tilt position. The device includes: a fixed-side member 1 mountable to a trim shaft L; a movable-side member 2 mountable to a turning part turning together with the outboard motor; and detection sensors that detect the relative positions of the movable-side member 2 with respect to the fixed-side member 1 in a non-contact manner in order to detect that the outboard motor reaches the tilt position. The movable-side member 2 has a stay 8 mountable to an arbitrary position in the turning part. The fixed-side member 1 has a band-like member 4 windable around the trim shaft L, and a fixing member that fixes the fixed-side member 1 to the trim shaft L at an arbitrary angle by tightening the band-like member 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
