<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate jam removal even in an image forming apparatus in which a photoreceptor cannot be removed from an apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor cartridge 1 is swingable around a support shaft 13. When a developer cartridge 3 is removed from an apparatus body 70, the contact between the developer cartridge 3 and the photoreceptor cartridge 1 is released, and the photoreceptor cartridge 1 moves to a separation position from a transfer position.
