<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel TRPV receptor activator which is suitable for the improvement in a skin barrier function. The purpose can be achieved by providing a TRPV receptor activator which comprises at least one compound selected from compounds respectively represented by the formulae or a plant extract containing the at least one compound in an effective amount for acting as a TRPV receptor activator.
