<p>The applicator (3) has an application member (8) e.g. brush, provided at an end of stem (5), where the member has varying profile. The member has a metallic twisted core, and projecting elements e.g. bristles, extending from the core. The member has a spiraled encased surface portion of flattened transverse section, where the portion has large transverse dimension ranging between 8 and 16 mm and thickness ranging between 2 and 6.5 mm. Main axes of proximal and distal transverse sections of the portion are angularly shifted around a longitudinal axis of the core at less than 90 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a brush.</p> |
