<p>The blind rivet element (1) has a setting head (2) and a shaft (3) having an intenal thread (4) or a receptacle for a threaded bolt. The internal thread or receptacle is formed in an end opposed to the setting head. A deformation portion (5) is positioned axially between the setting head and internal female thread or receptacle, and protruded radially outward of the shaft by forming an upset head at the time of deformation. The deformation portion is provided with a void (7) which is formed by removal of material from the shaft such that formation of upset head is prevented.</p> |
