In the present invention, provided is a method for synthesizing metal nanoparticle using a graphene support, comprising the steps of putting and mixing a metal precursor material and a graphene oxide sheet whose surface is connected to negative ionic functional groups in an aqueous solution; forming complex compounds with use of electrostatic attraction formed between dissociated metal ions in the aqueous solution and the negative ionic functional groups; and manufacturing metal nanoparticles deposited on the surface of the graphene by deoxidizing the formed complex compound.
