<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoconductor having both of excellent mechanical durability and gas-resistant stability and a method for manufacturing the photoconductor, to provide an image forming apparatus having a long service life, capable of stably outputting an image of high picture quality, in particular, even under the condition of exposure to an oxidative gas at a high concentration, and to provide an image forming method and a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoconductor includes at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support body. The outermost surface layer of the photosensitive layer contains a phthalate compound expressed by general formula (1) and a three-dimensional crosslinked polymer. The three-dimensional crosslinked polymer is formed by polymerization of a compound which is a charge transporting compound including an aromatic ring that has three or more [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups through an elimination reaction of a part of the [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups from the compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
