<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric generator using a thermoelectric generation unit which recovers thermal energy in a slag yard while converting into electric energy. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoelectric generator comprises a plurality of thermoelectric generation units 6 which is responsible for conversion of energy into electric energy, a foundation 7 which holds these thermoelectric generation units, a lifting means which is responsible for lifting of a foundation holding the thermoelectric generation units, and a means for detecting the surface solidification temperature of waste slag.
