<p>The apparatus i.e. bare platform hardware (110), has an interface (133) for receiving a request from devices (151-154) e.g. keyboards, to access a memory (140) such as dynamic random access memory, in a partitioning information processing system (100) e.g. personal computer. A partitioning logic (190) determines whether the devices are assigned to a partition (111) or to another partition (112) in the system. Two address translation logics (131, 132) translate two client physical addresses to two host physical addresses in the two partitions, respectively. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for translating a client physical address into a host physical address for a partitioning information processing system (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a client physical address translating method (3) a computer readable storage medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a client physical address translating method.</p> |
