Device for removing obstructions and maintaining unimpeded views from the area in front of a CCTV camera lens, comprising: an actuator; an elongated arm with plural elongated projections; wherein the arm is pivotably mounted to the actuator and the actuator rotates the arm from rest to a working position so that it passes across the area in front of the camera lens, dislodging obstacles (eg. cobwebs, spider webs, dust or debris). The rod may be cylindrical and protrusions may extend perpendicularly from opposite sides of it. Size and shape of protuberances may depend on scale and form of the lens. Prominences may be curved or moulded at their ends distal to the shaft. Radius of curvature of projections may correspond with the area to be cleared. The arm may be angled or cranked. Projections may be manufactured from soft, flexible material. The device may be a bristle brush. A bracket may attach the cleaning device to a camera housing, casing, body or protective cover (eg. sun shield) or to an area (eg. wall) adjacent the camera. Also disclosed is a device, for attachment to a closed circuit television wiper blade, comprising a long arm with multiple projections extending from it. |
