<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems with a thresher wherein the effectiveness of removing substances adhering to a sheave is low and wherein the maintenance is troublesome. <P>SOLUTION: A wind sorting chamber 18 is disposed under a threshing chamber 11, and a swinging sorting shelf 20 which swings back and forth is disposed in the wind sorting chamber 18. The sheave 23 in which a plurality of fins 36 are arranged parallel for sorting grains and waste straws etc. is disposed in the swinging sorting shelf 20. The sheave 23 is composed of a front sheave 26 disposed on the upstream side of a culm outlet 25 at the rear end of the threshing chamber 11 and a rear sheave 27 disposed under and on the downstream side of the culm outlet 25. A front scraper 40 and a rear scraper 41 with a plurality of sliding contact members 50 to slide in contact with the fins 36 of the front sheave 26 and the rear sheave 27 in the direction crossing the swinging direction of the swinging sorting shelf 20 are respectively disposed in the front sheave 26 and in the rear sheave 27.
