摘要 An engine control device is provided. In atandem type hybrid power vehicle, the engine control device is free of damage to electricity generation (charging) performance, does not reduce the chance for fault diagnosis and can perform fault diagnosis with the precision the same as that of gasoline vehicles at present. The tandem type hybrid power vehicle is characterized in that: an engine control unit is provided; in a driving cycle ( from the moment a key switch is on to the moment the key switch is off), when SOC turns to a value lower than the specified value for the first time, the engine control unit adjusts the electricity generation (charging) amount, so that the engine driving state turns to the electricity generation (charging) amount meeting conditions for performing system diagnosis movements and to the electricity generation (charging) amount allowing charging; and the tandem type hybrid power vehicle is provided with the control unit capable of performing fault diagnosis without damage to the electricity generation (charging) performance.
