Producing cosmetic product comprising a cosmetic composition having a thickened oil phase and a packaging container, comprises (a) providing at least one oil or at least one oil mixture, (b) heating the oil or oil mixture to 30-55[deg] C, preferably 30-35[deg] C, (c) adding at least one layered silicate and at least one polar activator, (d) homogenizing with a shear rate of 500-2000 revolutions per minute, (e) cooling to 10[deg] C to less than 30[deg] C, preferably 14-22[deg] C, (f) adding at least one further cosmetic active ingredient and/or auxiliary substance, and (g) filling into the packaging container.
