<p>The arrangement has a seal (25) supported in a recess (23) which extends transversely to a gap (22) and traverses the gap, where the gap is formed between two adjacent, thermally and/or mechanically loaded components e.g. rotor blade and heat shield, of a thermal machine i.e. gas turbine. The seal is formed partially of a shape memory alloy such that the seal changes its sealing behavior, when a pre-specified temperature limit is exceeded. The seal extends between platforms (14, 14') of the components in an axial direction, a circumferential direction, or a radial direction of the platforms. The seal has a filament made of metal alloy, and another filament made of shape memory alloy.</p> |
