<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent insufficient charging of toner due to degradation of two-component developer. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device comprises: a developing tank which stores a two-component developer composed of a toner and a carrier; a stirring member which stirs the developer in the developing tank; a developing roller which is disposed in the developing tank and carries the stirred developer for transforming an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor into a toner image; a restricting member which restricts a carrying amount of the developer carried by the developing roller to a fixed amount and returns extra developer to the developing tank; and a sensor which detects a value corresponding to the amount of the extra developer returned to the developing tank per unit time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
