<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network mode selection method and an apparatus.SOLUTION: A network device includes: an interface unit for supporting a communication standard that supports DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol); an IP discovery unit for broadcasting a dynamic IP discovery message; an interface selection unit for selecting any one of a plurality of communication standards, based on whether or not a dynamic IP offer message corresponding to the dynamic IP discovery message is received from a dynamic IP allocation device within a predetermined timeout period; and a mode operation unit for operating in a network mode according to the selected communication standard.</p> |
