Screw-in dowel for rail fixings

The dowel has a threaded portion (14) with external threads (18) i.e. round threads, arranged outside a threaded insert. Internal threads are arranged inside the dowel. An upper section (16) is located near a dowel opening (26) without the external threads. Two components are made of different materials and comprise a base body (22) made of plastic. A cylindrical ring (20) consists of steel material, and is mounted on the base body in a form-fit and/or force-fit manner. The ring with the base body extends upward into a region of the opening.
