<p>A machine 1 for measuring ergonomic parameters for manufacturing customised seating comprises a fixed structure 3, a moveable seating element 5, and one or more adjustable ancillary elements 7, 9, 11. The moveable seating element translates and rotates relative to the fixed structure. The adjustable ancillary elements, which will preferably simulate a backrest, a headrest and/or one or more armrests, are adjusted relative to the moveable seating element. When an optimal seating configuration which ergonomically fits a user is determined, measurements of the corresponding ergonomic parameters are taken for producing a customised, ergonomic seating such as an armchair.</p> |
