The device has a piston syringe (11) for receiving the blood. A filter unit (10) is provided with a multi-layer film filter for separating the plasma. A piston pump (20) is set for generating low pressure in the filter unit. A plasma collection container (17) is arranged in a filter cartridge (13) and is tapered towards the filter unit. The filter cartridge is isolated after the plasma generation such that a tip (9) of the plasma collection container is set free for sample introduction into an analyzer.
