<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel capable of changing the display luminance depending on the luminance of external light at low-cost and on a simple system, and provide a display device and an electronic appliance including the display panel. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL element 11 and a pixel circuit 12 for driving the organic EL element 11 are provided for each subpixel 13. The pixel circuit 12 includes a holding capacitor Cs, a writing transistor Tws writing voltage corresponding to an image signal in the holding capacitor Cs, and a driving transistor Tdr driving the organic EL element 11 based on the voltage of the holding capacitor Cs.
