The present invention relates to a synthetic resin and a synthetic fiber containing linolenic acid, and a manufacturing method thereof. The synthetic resin or the synthetic fiber of the present invention has an advantage of easy mass production and low manufacturing costs. The synthetic resin and synthetic fiber comprise 0.7 to 2.5 wt% of vegetable oil which contains linolenic acid of greater than or equal to 70 wt% and a low-molecular weight volatile substance of 5 wt% having a boiling point of 120 to 220°C.
