The present invention is directed towards a wave-powered electrical energy generation device for use on a body of water. The wave- powered electrical energy generation device floats on the body of water with a portion of the wave-powered electrical energy generation device sitting below a surface level of the body of water. A hull (102) houses an enclosed void (104) and the hull (102) has a fore end and an aft end with the enclosed void (104) housed substantially centrally between the fore end and the aft end of the hull (102). The wave-powered electrical energy generation device holds a quantity of fluid (402) in the enclosed void (104) such that movement of the fluid (402) held in the enclosed void (104), caused by pitching and/ or rolling of the wave-powered electrical energy generation device in the body of water, is converted into electrical energy by an electrical energy generation means. |
