<p>A key safe mounting apparatus 2 comprising a main body for housing a key safe device 1, a hook member 6 for mounting over the top of a door, and a side protrusion 9 extendable from main body for locating between door edge and frame. The side protrusion may be L-shaped and pivotally mounted (11, figure 3) to extend from either side of the body. The key safe may be housed in a cavity. A top region 7 of the hook may be tapered (figure 3). The hook may comprise an anchor such as a counterbalance weight (31, figure 8), a cylindrical bar (20, figure 7) or a L profiled strip 6 and may be attached to the main body via chord, wire (16, figure 7) or flexible element such as a retractable strap or mesh (30, figure 8). The device can be mounted to a door without the need for destructive mounting means such as screws or bolts.</p> |
