<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge in which a zone for storing an ink flow regulating mechanism is formed, and which is configured to prevent the ink leakage from an ink supply port due to an environmental change. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 1 includes: an ink chamber 2 having an atmospheric hole 5 communicating with an atmosphere, and configured to store ink therein; the ink supply port 4 configured to supply the ink to the outside; and the ink supply port 2 being a compartment 6 wherein a micropore formation part 12, in which fine gaps for allowing the passage of the ink stored in the ink chamber 2 is formed above from the bottom surface, is arranged, and wherein a porous member for absorbing the ink and preventing the ink evaporation is packed.
