The present invention relates to a portable terminal having a screen capture function and, more specifically, to a portable terminal having a screen capture function which automatically captures and stores a screen at regular intervals from when an application is driven in a smartphone to when the application is terminated, transmits the screen to a server, thereby enabling a parent to easily check a usage status of the children′s smartphones. To this end, the portable terminal having the screen capture function has a characteristic of comprising: a wireless communication part (110) making voice communications, message communications and data communications via wireless communications; a screen capture part (120) capturing the screen of the smartphone in real time and generating a still image; a controller (130) sensing if an image capture application is driven, transmitting a control signal to the screen capture part (120) to capture the screen periodically, and if the screen capture part (120) generates the still image, receiving and storing the still image at a memory (140); and the memory (140) storing the still image processed by the screen capture part (120) based on time. As above mentioned, the portable terminal having the screen capture function automatically takes and stores a screen shot at regular temporal intervals from when the application is driven in the smartphone to when the application is terminated and transmits the screen shot to the server, thereby thereby enabling the parent to easily check the usage status of the children′s smartphones, preventing access to an harmful application and enabling a user to use the smartphone soundly and correctly.
