RECOMBINANT MALARIA VACCINE

Disclosed is a composition for use as a recombinant malaria vaccine and a method for its manufacture. The composition includes a purified fragment p83/30 of the gp190/MSP-1 protein from Plasmodium falciparum strain FCB-1 without heterologous sequences, and a purified fragment p38/42 of the gp190/MSP-1 protein from a heterologous Plasmodium strain without heterologous sequences and at least 70% of the fragments in the composition are present as a non-covalently associated dimer.
