APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYSING PLAQUE CHANGE

A method for analyzing a plaque change, which makes it possible to quantitatively analyze a plaque change in the coronary arteries in a serial computed tomography (CT) by using a landmark matching technique, is provided. For this purpose, the method for analyzing a plaque change according to the present invention comprises the steps of: conducting a CT on the heart and acquiring a first image and a second image; performing a segmentation of the coronary arteries on each of the first image and the second image; extracting at least one branch point as a standard point in each of the first image and the second image where the segmentation of the coronary arteries is done; and performing a landmark matching of the first image and the second image on the basis of the standard point of the first image and the standard point of the second image.
