The present invention relates to a method for managing a certificate which is executed by a server capable of communicating with a user terminal. When a certificate of a user is issued to a medium, which is installed, attached/detached, or linked to the user terminal, specific information, which specifically identifies a terminal using the issued certificate by installing, attaching/detaching/ or linking the medium wherein the certificate is recorded, is identified and stored. When the issued certificate of the user is used or reissued, result of verifying effectiveness of the terminal, which uses and reissues the certification of the user by using the recorded specific information, is checked. When effectiveness of the terminal is verified through specific information, processes for transaction, payment, or authentication using the certificate are executed through the verified terminal; or, processes for reissuing a certificate of the user to the medium, which is installed, attached/detached, or linked to the verified user terminal, are executed. |
