The present invention relates to an optical switch and a manufacturing method, comprising: an optical input unit which is divided into m number of areas (m is a natural number), and includes one or more optical fibers in each area; and an optical output unit which is arranged to be opposite to the end of the optical input unit and includes a plurality of optical fibers arranged in m number of areas at regular intervals. The optical input unit or the optical output unit are transferred as a displacement within ΔT (a distance from the first optical fiber to the final optical fiber located inside the m number of area of the optical output unit). The optical switch and the manufacturing method thereof according to an embodiment of the present invention can reduce the size of the optical switch when a multi-channel is formed, and improve switching efficiency by improving a response speed after minifying the substrate transfer distance. |
