The present invention relates to an expansion joint for a concrete structure having a new structure capable of not only closely responding to the expansion of concrete, but also effectively preventing an intake of rainwater to the inside of the structure. The expansion joint for the concrete structure is characterized by including an expansion member (100) composed of a left wall (110) and a right wall (120) extended longitudinal and separately arranged from each other, and a connecting unit (130) connecting the ends of the left and right walls (110, 120) forming an open unit (140) on a portion facing the connecting unit (130), and covering a space unit (10) for the expansion joint for the concrete structure to make the open unit (140) to head inwards; a pair of metallic supporting plates (200) fitted into the expansion member (100) to be in contact with the inner lateral surfaces of the left and right walls (110, 120) of the expansion member (100); and a metallic anchor rod (300) having one end welded to the supporting plates (200) and the other end extended to the side of the expansion member (100) through the open unit (140) and embedded into the concrete structure.
