<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a packet, and a method thereof, wherein one vehicle node transmits and receives a packet via multi-hop communications in a vehicle communications network including a plurality of vehicle nodes. More specifically, the method comprises the steps of: receiving, by the one vehicle node, a safety message including frame information map (FIM) from a neighboring vehicle node; reserving, by the one vehicle node, an empty emergency slot from a reservation period (RP) of a sync interval, based on the FIM; and transmitting, by the one vehicle node, the safety message to the neighboring vehicle node in the reserved emergency slot.</p> |
