1. A method for identifying a compound having an ability to modulate activity of a receptor in a cell comprising the steps of:
(a) contacting the compound with the receptor, the receptor having β-catenin activity and greater than 80% homology to an amino acid sequence encoded by the nucleic acid sequence SEQ ID NO:14; (b) determining if the activity of the receptor is modulated by measuring β-catenin activity in the cell; and (c) identifying the compound as a compound having an ability to modulate activity of the receptor in the cell if β-catenin activity in the cell is greater than the β-catenin activity in a cell which has not been exposed to the compound. |
