According to the present invention, a display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus includes: a reception unit which receives a touch signal of a protrusion formed in a touch pad of a remote controller; a display unit which displays a control GUI including at least one function menu when receiving the touch signal; and a control unit which selects one function menu according to manipulation of a user and automatically executes the function menu when the manipulation of the user is input from the protrusion.
