1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
an image forming unit configured to form a measurement image on a sheet; a measurement unit, which includes a light-emitting unit configured to irradiate the measurement image with light and a receiving unit configured to receive reflected light from the measurement image, configured to measure the measurement image formed on the sheet to output a spectral reflectance, by irradiating the measurement image using the light-emitting unit and by receiving the reflected light from the measurement unit using the receiving unit; a white reference plate provided at a position facing to the measurement unit; a movement unit configured to move the white reference plate; a distance measuring unit configured to measure a distance from the measurement unit to the white reference plate; and a correction unit configured to correct an amount of emitted light of the light-emitting unit according to the distance measured by the distance measuring unit.
