System and method for one step address translation of graphics addresses in virtualization

receiving a request for a virtual guest memory address (Pa) of a virtual machine for an input/output (I/O) device assigned to the virtual machine in a system that supports virtualization, the guest memory address (Pa) being a virtual memory address, the virtual guest memory address (Pa) being mapped to a virtual memory address (Pg) that is a virtual memory address; and installing in a graphics memory translation table, in response to the request for the virtual guest memory address (Pa), a virtual guest memory address (Pa) to host physical memory address (Ph) translation entry to provide a virtual guest memory address to host physical memory address translation in a single step, the host physical memory address (Ph) being an actual physical memory address.
