The present invention relates to a method for producing a silicon carbide ceramic composite and to silicon carbide produced by the same. The method includes the steps of: i) pulverizing ultra-high molecular carbosilane into fine powder; ii) producing an impregnation solution by adding the fine powder of the ultra-high molecular carbosilane into a soluble polycarbosilane solution; iii) impregnating a preform with the impregnation solution; iv) drying and stabilizing the impregnated preform; and v) treating the preform with heat at high temperatures. According to the present invention, high molecular powder with light weight and a high ceramic conversion yield, rather than a ceramic powder filler, is used as a filler. Therefore, when compared to the prior method, combination efficiency can be increased; impregnation stability can be obtained by maintaining the filler to be stably and uniformly dispersed in the impregnation solution for a long time; and an impregnation process can be controlled in various manners because the particle size and distribution of the powder can be easily controlled by applying a simple pulverization method disclosed in the present invention. The impregnation process can be simplified by applying the densification impregnation method. The highly-dense fiber reinforced ceramic composite can be economically and efficiently produced. |
