<p>A bioplastic composition comprising a biopolymer containing from 10 - 40 wt% of coated inorganic particles; the particles being coated with one or more of fatty acids, fatty acid derivatives, rosins, rosinates, polyolefin based waxes, oligomers and mineral oils, and combinations thereof has improved stiffness and toughness and also has improved crystallisation kinetics rendering it useful for extrusion, injection moulding and thermoforming.</p> |
