POWERING HARDWARE UNIT THROUGH AUDIO CHANNEL

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for controlling the power to a hardware unit is disclosed. The system comprises an audio channel for transmitting signals to the hardware unit; and a control circuit communicably connected to the audio channel. The control circuit transmits a power on signal through the audio channel to switch on the hardware unit and also transmits a power off signal through the audio channel to the switch off the hardware unit.
