<p>The invention relates to an electrolytic cell (10), comprising: an anode (11) made from doped diamond; a cathode (13), wherein the anode (11) and the cathode (13) are in contact with a liquid consisting of an aqueous sample and a supporting electrolyte; and an ion-exchange separation membrane (12) positioned between the anode (11) and the cathode (13) so as to create a first chamber (21) between the anode and the separation membrane forming an anode compartment, and a second chamber (22) between the cathode and the separation membrane forming a cathode compartment, said cell (10) being characterized in that it is suitable for mineralizing organic compounds in the liquid so as to release metal ions by means of an electrochemical oxidation reaction, said ion-exchange separation membrane (12) being capable of keeping the released metal ions in the first chamber (21). A heavy metal detection line, comprising said electrolytic cell and a cell for electrochemically detecting heavy metals that is connected to said first chamber (21), is also disclosed.</p> |
