Disclosed are a method for controlling automatic vehicle hold and an automatic vehicle hold device using the same, wherein the automatic vehicle hold can be operated in case of pressing a brake at a pressure equal to or smaller than a reference pressure. The method for controlling the automatic vehicle hold (AVH) of a vehicle comprises the steps of: determining whether or not AVH is in an operation-preparing state; determining whether or not a braking pressure has been generated to be equal to or greater than the reference pressure for operating the AVH if the AVH is an operation-preparing state; and operating the AVH by applying additional pressure if the braking pressure has not been generated to be equal to or greater than the reference pressure for operating the AVH. |
