Provided is a control device for an electric vehicle that uses a motor as a drive source for travel and reduces speed using the regenerative braking force of the motor. The control device detects an acceleration operation amount, calculates a motor torque command value, and controls the motor on the basis of the calculated motor torque command value. In addition, the control device detects a speed parameter that is proportional to the travelling speed of the electric vehicle and, on the basis of the detected speed parameter, calculates a feedback torque for stopping the electric vehicle. Further, the control device estimates a speed parameter in accordance with the state of the electric vehicle, and calculates a feed-forward torque on the basis of the estimated speed parameter. If the accelerator operation amount is less than a prescribed value and the electric vehicle is on the brink of stopping, the travelling speed is reduced and the motor torque command value is made to converge on zero, on the basis of the feedback torque and the feed-forward torque. |
