PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable enhancement in reforming performance of a reductant agent and ozone supply to be simultaneously achieved.SOLUTION: A high-active substance adding device which adds a reducing agent to exhaust at an upstream side of a reducing catalyst on an exhaust passage 10ex comprises: a discharge reactor 20 which ionizes oxygen gas by discharge; a fuel injection valve 33 (hydrocarbon supply means) which supplies the discharge reactor 20 with hydrocarbon; and ozone generation control means. The ozone generation control means controls the fuel injection valve 33 in a manner that stops supply of the hydrocarbon when generating ozone from the oxygen gas ionized by the discharge reactor 20. Reforming control means controls the fuel injection valve 33 in a manner that performs hydrocarbon supply to generate a reforming reductant agent by oxidizing the hydrocarbon with the oxygen gas ionized by the discharge reactor 20. |
