PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for desulfurizing fuel gas, capable of skipping conventional pretreatment and re-reduction treatment and desulfurizing the fuel gas at a lower cost; a method for manufacturing a desulfurization catalyst for fuel gas; and a desulfurization system.SOLUTION: The method for desulfurizing fuel gas, capable of circulating the fuel gas to a desulfurizer having a hydrodesulfurization catalyst precursor including nickel ions comprises the step of forming a hydrodesulfurization catalyst by circulating the fuel gas including a sulfur content with hydrogen to a desulfurizer to reduce the hydrodesulfurization catalyst precursor.
