PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a separation member to come out from between a charging roller and a photosensitive drum automatically at the start time.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a photosensitive drum 2; a charging roller 3; a pressure spring 21 for bringing the charging roller into contact with the photosensitive drum; a separation member 100 arranged on a further downstream side of a rotation direction A of the photosensitive drum than the charging roller, and capable of rotating between an advance position in which it advances between the photosensitive drum and the charging roller against the pressure spring and separating the charging roller from the photosensitive drum, and a retreat position in which it comes out from between the photosensitive drum and the charging roller by the rotation of the photosensitive drum; and a gear and a chipped tooth part 100a which are engageable with/detachable from each other and formed at each contact part of the photosensitive drum and the separation member. When the image forming device is started with the separation member being located in an advance position, the separation member is sent out to a downstream side from between the photosensitive drum and the charging roller by the rotation of the photosensitive drum and the engagement between the gear and the chipped tooth part 100a, and moves to the retreat position. |
