PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast system capable of executing power supply at any timing without affecting existing elements including an existing power control method. ! SOLUTION: In a digital broadcast system, an EMM (Entitlement Management Message) for notifying a piece of contract information is transmitted being multiplexed with digital broadcast signal. The digital broadcast apparatus multiplexes a piece of power control information which indicates a control method of the power required for receiving the EMM with the digital broadcast signal and transmits the same to a receiver unit. The digital broadcast receiver unit receives the digital broadcast signal to acquire the power control information multiplexed with the signal and establishes the power supply based on the power control information to receive the EMM. !
