PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an increase of a power conversion device in costs and in size.SOLUTION: A power conversion device switches connections of a plurality of switching elements Su through Sz of an inverter INV connected between DC power supply BT and a load M and drives the load M by converting DC power from the DC power supply BT into AC power. The power conversion device comprises: current detection means for detecting a load current supplied to the load M from a DC current value on a DC power supply BT side and a driving signal of the plurality of switching elements Su through Sz; current estimation means for estimating the load current supplied to the load M on the basis of an electrical model formula of the load M from a voltage value of the DC power supply BT and the driving signal of the switching elements Su through Sz; and compensation means for compensating the load current in a period when the load current cannot be detected by the current detection means with the load current estimated by the current estimation means. |
