PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when the number of gate lines and signal lines is increased with an increase in the number of pixels along with the increase in definition of a display device, it becomes difficult to mount an IC chip including a driver circuit for driving them through bonding or the like, which results in the increase in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes a pixel portion and a driver circuit for driving the pixel portion on the same substrate. A circuit in at least a part of the driver circuit is formed using a thin film transistor including an oxide semiconductor sandwiched between gate electrodes vertically. By the provision of the pixel portion and the driver circuit on the same substrate, the manufacturing cost can be reduced. |
